I love Archie's disposition and his clear love for machinery. It's been really cool to see it come out in little bits here and there as he sees and analyzes things. Now it was cool seeing a strength that came out of him once he was able to set himself to the work of fixing something. In my college years I once rode a city bus with an engineering student to downtown Seattle. I had ridden that bus dozens of times. As an artist I mostly noticed the sounds, smells, and colors passing by out the windows. He started analyzing the bus and wondered where the engine was on the thing. It was cool to see how people perceive the world in such different ways.

“Then, with one hand, Archie pushed the cast iron sled and the saw parted the wood effortless.” Ha ha ha. Awesome character moment.

Morning Star mine? Google didn't find it at first, because in Fallout 2 it was one word less: Morningstar mine. I wasn't even sure before I checked a wiki.

And DuMont's promise of revenge makes me wonder if he's an insane wizard, allied with Lucifer. After all, I already know that something supernatural is going to happen. And it might not be a certain old war chief known for magic who'll be behind it. Maybe DuMont thinks the mine is filled with water because it will be? Maybe his mind is already in more than one time period?

Or is it Esther? Is she a clever witch, letting the old man cough in the spotlight while she's quietly working behind the scenes? Is she actually a lizard person, like Morag in Forgotten Realms?
