Listen now (20 min) | If Dance only looked at one side of the street it could almost appear that Grantham had gotten back to normal. There had been a rough few days after the fire, but they’d buried the dead, said words over them, and moved on. That didn’t mean that things were good but they could've been a hell of a lot worse. And another thing… tower of Ba-El sounds like Tower of Babel where God confused all the languages and yet here is a strange stranger with the power to make everyone understand each other. Reminds me of the foreign god Ba’al that the Israelites would worship instead of the one true God in the Old Testament of the Bible. This world and story are so cool, and if that were all this narrative had I’d still be loving it and want to keep reading but it also has characters I love! This book has a lot going for it. I’m glad I’m along for the ride.
