I will forever thank you for introducing me to Donald Westlake's Parker crime novels.

You are very welcome. They really are a genre unto themselves.

A nice intro chapter. I am always happy to hear more of how to succeed in Evil. I was suspecting something would happen to Chad, given how absolutely unforgivable his taste in suits was. I did not think he would get trampled, though. I can't say I feel sorry for him. You have to be pretty stupid to stand in front of a charging bull.

Edwin's reaction was priceless. He is so cold he's hot.

In the Bull's defense, he was making money by committing this crime. He was posting his exploits on social media, which would earn him money if he's monetized.

I feel a bit bad for the Bull. He isn't a bad guy, he just has bad judgement and bad brakes.

By the way, if your voice got any more soothing, I'd fall asleep. That's a good thing. Never change.

Good stuff. Any chance of another Merchant Adventurer book?

Sure. But I'm trying to complete my unfinished stories in the order that they were left unfinished. :-)

That's great, but I fear that we'll be waiting a very, very long time. :-O

Well, I have an outline, loosely based on the idea that hidden in every fairy tale is some kind of con. Like Jack and the Beanstalk -- "Hey kid, take these magic beans" Snow White is a Spanish prisoner con. The working title is "The Brother's Grift"

The Merchant Adventurer had a large portion of "con" within it. LOL It was a fun tale, and since you developed the characters so well, I've been hoping for a sequel. Don't put it at the bottom of your list. It deserves to be near the top. Its not as sophisticated as some of your other works, but its an entertaining romp with a happy ending. And who doesn't like a happy ending? :-)
