TL/DR:
The more copies that are sold, the more Amazon will show the book to potential customers. So…

So, Crazy Psycho Murder Tree is #9 on the Amazon Humorous Dark Comedy Bestseller list. Which is good news, and even more amazing, because I don’t even have any reviews on it yet. Good cover + good blurb copy?
The book is and is going to permanently free on Amazon and all other platforms as a shameless ploy to lure new readers to the series. Getting Amazon price your book at zero is more difficult than you might imagine, but is one of the best ways to break through a noisy marketplace.
This time around, I’m not just coming with good books, I’m coming with strategery. Substack is part of that strategy, as is the book funnel that I’ve set up. When I know that it has worked, I’ll write it all up and share it with you, but for now, I’m in measure and tweak mode.
I know this might not seem like a milestone, but to me, it’s a pretty big deal. There’s at least a year’s worth of work in getting to this point. This is the tip of the iceberg, and the rest of the series is part of what’s below the waterline. This strategy only works if you have a series of books.
So what I would like you to do is grab a free e-book copy and leave a review. Reviews are TREMENDOUSLY important in the sweltering Amazonian retail jungle. You can also share your thoughts in reviews anywhere else, I’ve published this book as wide as possible. I’m focusing on Amazon because that’s where the volume appears to be.
The audiobook will also be available everywhere (different platforms take longer to push audiobooks live) but you can buy the complete audiobook for $5 on Chirp right now.
All of which leaves me with some questions about how to move forward with the audiobook chapter weekly release? If you’ve read this entire thing and have any suggestions, please leave them in the comments.
And finally, please grab a book and leave a review. It’s free.
If you’re enjoying the content I put out and haven’t become a paying subscriber this is a great way, no-cost way to express your appreciation. It’s a huge help and would really mean a lot.
Thanks for listening and reading,
Patrick
